website, sending out as part of e-mails/messages, or providing a mechanism to show them to users of your website.

This section describes how to upload, perform simple manipulations on files (PDF, Excel, Word, etc.), and remove outdated/unwanted files. You must have ‘Admin’ authority in the system to perform these actions. Contact your system administrator for assistance.

Uploading a file

This provides a mechanism to upload a file to the organization's admin or use in multiple ways.

1) Activate 'Media' on the organizations menu panel

2) Pick ‘Documents’ tab on the top banner

3) Upload a file to the container

a) Click to upload

i) Activate the ‘Click to Upload’ control

ii) Select location via the dialog and pick the object file (1mb size limit)

iii) Activate ‘Open’ or selector specific action to accept the file.

Note: Activity Bar will indicate upload taking place. Activity bar will change to green when the upload is complete, and a glyph will display in the list with the file’s name.

iv) Complete the action by closing the Activity Bar; click the ‘X’ once to accept the upload, then the other ‘X’ to close the Activity Bar.

b) Drop a document

i) Drag/Drop the target document on the area identified in the admin

Note: Activity Bar will indicate upload taking place. Activity bar will change to green when the upload is complete, and a glyph will display in the list with the file’s name.

ii) Complete the action by closing the Activity Bar; click the ‘X’ once to accept the upload, then the other ‘X’ to close the Activity Bar.

4) Adding a Tag to the uploaded document

a) Click the target document in the platform list (A dialog will display on the right)

b) Enter the appropriate Tag Value

c) The Tag will be Displayed along the top of that container and the dialog will close.

d) Before you try to use the new Document, refresh your browser (i.e. click the circle in the browser control)

Removing a file from the Container

1) Click the target document in the Container (A dialog will display on the right)

2) Click the ‘Delete Document’ control

Document Tags

Document Tags are uncontrolled (free-form) text strings that are primarily designated to categorize documents to make them easier to identify. There is no other specific search mechanism to locate specific documents if the number gets large. Tags should be limited to one or two words for simple management and expediency.

Currently applied Tags are listed across the top of the Document Container.

Sorting Documents by Tag

There is no specific search mechanism to locate specific documents if the number gets large. Tags are used to categorize documents to make them easier to identify. Documents can have multiple tags.

· Filter by Tag – Select the tag of the category of documents you want to filter to. Only the Documents with that Tag will be listed in the Container.

· Change Filter Tag – Select the ‘X’ on the current Tag. All Documents will be listed, and all of the Tags will be displayed on the top of the Container.

Adding/Removing a Tag from a Document

This provides a mechanism to add a tag to uploaded documents. There is no specific search mechanism to locate specific documents if the number gets large. Tags are used to categorize documents to make them easier to identify. Documents can have multiple tags.

Adding a Tag to an uploaded document

1. Click the target document in the Container (A dialog will display on the right)

2. Enter the appropriate Tag Value(s)

Note: Tags are uncontrolled, free-form text and will not be displayed as a dropdown list you can choose from. You must enter the exact text from an existing Tag (displayed in the Container) if you want to apply that. If the existing Tag is “Minutes” and you enter “minutes”, a new separate Tag will be created.

3. The Tag will be Displayed along the top of that Container and the dialog will close.

4. Before you try to use the new Document, refresh your browser (i.e. click the circle in the browser control)

Removing a Tag from an uploaded document

1. Click the target document in the Container (A dialog will display on the right)

2. Click the ‘X’ in the Tag you want to remove

Note: If t no other Documents use that Tag, it will be removed from the list on the top of the Container.
