To identify sign locations Candidates and District Party units used to have to rely on the "Sign guy", a person in the district who remembered or had the sing locations written down someplace. Often times they just drive around, identify locations and ask at the door.
For Buzz360 customers there is an easier way to do this.
In your contact list,
filter by the name of a major road in the district and by calculated Party = 1 - hard Republican
Save the result as Audience "Sign Location Prospects"
Create an email or Text message asking if the recipient would allow a sing to be placed for your candidate
when they reply "yes", change the tag to "sign location"
(you may want to make a note to the size of sign)
There is your list for sign locations! Now Sign guy just has to go to the locations, confirm with the owner and put up the sign. Depending on your situation, you can export the Audience and if you use SwipeRed, you can just have them follow the Audience on their SwipeRed app.
You now have a solid list of sign locations for elections to come.
Pick up the signs the day after the election and do not forget to send a "Thank You" note to the people who own the sign locations.
Note: There are candidates/sign guys who just place their signs next to a sing of a friendly candidate. This is very disrespectful to the property owners and illegal in many states.
Note: obviously, you can get very elaborate with your tagging and create a whole process around this, but for easy starters, this is a pretty good way to do it.
