The purpose of synchronizing the contacts to the SwipeRed server to match them with voters in the district for the campaign you are volunteering for.

This way SwipeRed knows who to ask you to reach out to pass the campaigns message on to – if you choose to.

Note: None of the campaigns you support can access your contacts or contact them in any way other than through YOU and through YOUR specific and explicit action. You are asked to synchronize contacts when you first sign on. After that the system does not automatically synchronize contacts. If you add new contacts to your list, you can resync them to the system.

Under “Settings” select “Synchronization”, then click on “Resync My Contacts”. Depending on how many contacts you have the resyncing can take a while. SwipeRed will process in the background, you can move on to other usages of the App.

You can pick and choose which contacts you want to sync with SwipeRed.

You can also “Delete My Contacts” – This will remove your contacts from the App. IT DOES NOT delete any of the contacts in your phone directory.
