We know friends talking with friends (in person or digitally) shapes opinions and elections. In fact, what your friends tell you is one of the most influential factors in your voting. It is increasingly how elections are won and lost.
That is why we are using a new way for you to connect with your friends and have conversations about the election that is so important to you.
Here is how you can help and become a digital volunteer.
How To Get The SwipeRed App
Download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Just point your camera to this code below, and follow the link to the Apple Store or Google Playstore.
Now it’s time to sign up! Open the SwipeRed app and click on “Let’s Go”
Enter your name, email, phone number, zip code, and create your account.
Choose the campaign(s) you'd like to support from the list presented to you on the app. (You can add or delete campaigns later on in the "My Profile - Campaigns" Section).
Make sure to select our demo campaign so you can see examples, and SwipeRed action so you receive tips and important updates.
SwipeRed will ask you if it can compare your phone contacts with the campaign’s voter file. We take your privacy seriously – and we will not see your contacts. SwipeRed only uses this information to match, and recommend to you, the people that a message is most relevant to, so you can decide which people you'd like to share the message with.
When your sync your contacts, the messages are 9 times more effective.
SwipeRed identifies your friends who are most likely to want to engage with our message.
On the home screen, you will see our demo campaign logo.
Touch the logo and you will find example posts and messages to be “shared” with your friends that will show up when you touch the swipe icon to share.
For messages a window will open to a pre-written message, ready for you to send to your friends. You can choose to send the message via text, email, or Facebook Messenger
For social media posts, SwipeRed will also ask you to share a post to your personal Facebook, Instagram and Twitter account. You can edit the post to reflect your personal voice, if you’d like.
Remember you are always in charge of who you send to and what you send.
You are now a digital advocate!
